Jay Whiteman
Senior Executive DirectorJay is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of Monroe Village and Village Point. With 18 years’ experience in the senior living industry, he served as executive director at Meadow Lakes, leading the team through capital improvements totaling more than $20 million to enhance amenities and infrastructure campuswide. The initiative improved communication with residents, resident satisfaction, and demonstrated repeated survey excellence in assisted living and skilled nursing neighborhoods, including Advanced Standing recognition for the community’s assisted living option.
Jay graduated magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College with an A.B. in business administration/A.B. in economics, summa cum laude graduate from Temple University with an MBA in healthcare administration/M.S. in healthcare financial management, and licensed nursing home administrator in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. His industry affiliations include chair of the Springpoint Human Resources Advisory Board, Springpoint Ethics Committee member, and advisory board member for the Jersey College School of Nursing’s Ewing, New Jersey, campus.
Nathan Perez
Regional Sales DirectorNathan leads the sales and marketing efforts for Monroe Village and has been a part of the team for more than 15 years, including prior experience as marketing coordinator and senior sales counselor. Nathan’s focus has been to increase revenue, enhance amenities and floor plan offerings, strengthen relationships with prospective residents, improve levels of new resident satisfaction, and increase awareness of the campus.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration-healthcare management from Western Governors University and is a Springpoint Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee member. He believes selling is a consultative process that requires understanding people and meeting them where they are to meet their needs. Nathan enjoys spending time with his spouse, who also works for Springpoint, and their dogs, Lilo and Kalea. His interests include gardening, sociology, history, travel, and design.
Paula Falkowski
Senior Sales CounselorPaula has been with Monroe Village since 2017, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare-related experience to the position of sales counselor. She relishes the opportunity to educate people about the benefits and amenities available at a Life Plan Community; introducing the worry-free lifestyle to people brings her joy.
Paula is an Air Force military wife with three grown children. She loves meeting new people and becoming like family to them. Relationships are the most important aspect of her life. Paula is an avid cook and baker and loves sharing her treats with everyone. She and her husband love to travel and explore as often as they can.
Karen Cerreto
Sales CounselorKaren is a trusted, caring person who’s been working in the retirement and senior living industry for 14 years. She’s passionate about helping and guiding prospective residents and their families as they navigate the benefits of a Life Plan Community. When she’s not at work, Karen spends quiet time connecting with nature. You may find her tending the garden, enjoying mountain vistas, or walking barefoot on the beach. These peaceful moments impart a sense of calm, which she’s able to bring to her role helping older adults search for their best living option.
Eugene Barisano
Marketing/Sales CoordinatorEugene has worked in home health care as a business development specialist, senior advisor, and franchise owner since 2018. He has superior experience in customer service, retail sales, and the home health care segment of the senior living industry. In his previous roles, Eugene has won several customer service awards and been recognized for consistently meeting and exceeding goals.
His responsibilities include facilitating move-in procedures and providing additional sales support.
Gina Dipierro, CMDCP, CALA, CDP
Director of Resident ServicesGina joined the Monroe family over eight years ago, previously serving as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. She is now responsible for supervising and monitoring the resident services staff while helping to plan and implement diverse programming for residents with Monroe’s LivWell team.
As a Federal Ambassador of the Alzheimer’s Association, Gina has worked closely with residents and family members dealing with a dementia diagnosis. Along with spearheading several projects that have had a profoundly positive impact on all residents, Gina is an integral part of the Resident Enrichment Program and The Caregivers’ Exchange. Her focus on creating exceptional experiences for those we serve is second to none.
Gina graduated from Mercer University Atlanta with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She earned both her CALA and CDP in 2018 and became certified as a Montessori Dementia Care Professional (CMDCP) in 2020.
Ed Piotrowski, RN, CDP
Director of Clinical ServicesEd is responsible for directing the Clinical Services team at Monroe Village and oversees the daily operations of the community Medical Clinic. He is responsible for the community infection prevention and control program (IPCP), directing a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment to help prevent the transmission of communicable diseases and infections.
An experienced healthcare professional since 2008, he is a Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), and a Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA). His track record includes healthcare coordinator, medication management, and healthcare staff director.
