Security: Your Plan for the Future
May 21, 2020Monroe Village is a community where our residents feel at home. And, to ensure the level of comfort you expect in your home, our team has developed guidelines surrounding the safety and security of those in the community. Keep reading for ways we offer security and a safe, healthy future.
Senior Living Security Precautions
A few procedures and precautions in our community include:
- Emergency Communications: First and foremost, communication is key when it comes to an emergency situation. Our emergency communication systems keep our staff members, residents and families aware of updated information through phone calls, text messages and emails.
- Disaster Preparedness: The Springpoint team has a detailed action plan in place in the event of a disaster that we share with residents and their families.
- Emergency Power: Our community is prepared to provide power during storms and other extended power outages. We have onsite generators and advanced arrangements for fuel supplies and backup generators.
- Emergency Policies and Procedures: To be fully prepared for the unexpected, we share best practices and identify opportunities for improvement between all Springpoint communities.
Along with these policies and procedures, we also offer security in your future by offering a full suite of healthcare services. Our full continuum of care includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation and Memory Care. So, no matter the level of care you may need, your needs will be taken care of.
Of course, we constantly look into ways to improve the reliability and effectiveness of our plans. One example of this is our response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
To help our residents stay safe and informed of the latest community news, we feature community updates from the leadership team on our in-house channel that residents can view from their homes. Hot, delicious, chef-prepared meals are delivered to each resident’s front door. To help them purchase the essentials without having to go to the local grocery store, we’ve opened the Village Mini-Market in the Bistro.
These are just a few of the ways we’ve adjusted our community policies and procedures to offer the safest environment for residents and staff. While it’s true that we’re in the midst of a very challenging time, we at Monroe Village are a family pulling together, steadfast in our desire to see this through with kindness and compassion. While residents follow the stay-at-home rules and practice proper social distancing, they’re still experiencing the love, care and support of community life.
Feel Safe and Secure at Monroe Village
Don’t just take our word for it: Resident Shirley Friedlander frequently recommends moving to Monroe Village to her close friends, and part of the reason is because of how secure she feels that her needs will be met. She shared, “After seeing how happy and active I am here and everything that Monroe Village has to offer, some of them have decided to move here, too. It’s a community within my community. I have all the comforts of home and services I never knew I would enjoy having.”
