Monroe Village Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Gateway Project
August 2, 2023Monroe Village, a Springpoint Life Plan Community, recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the reveal of its new entrance drive, deemed the “Gateway Project.” Funded primarily through the support of residents, the community’s revitalized entranceway provides a stunning, nature-enhanced “welcome” into the community surrounded by astounding Kentucky Coffeetrees.
This project was completed thanks to the hard work of the Leadership Team at Monroe Village along with assistance from Joseph Greipp, the Arboretum Director at Meadow Lakes (a Springpoint Life Plan Community located in East Windsor).
Monroe Township Mayor Stephen Dalina, Council Vice President Terry Van Dzura, Council President – At Large Miriam Cohen, and Councilwoman Rupa Siegel also took part in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Monroe Villages’ entrance drive now includes 16 stately Kentucky Coffeetrees, evergreen shrubs, and lush grass landscape throughout. This reimagined “Gateway to Monroe Village” has become a reality thanks to the generosity of resident donations, exemplifying their commitment to making a cozy, inviting atmosphere for all.
Kentucky Coffeetrees are hardy, drought-resistant, pollution- tolerant, and adaptable to a variety of soils. Known for their stately, picturesque beauty (with growth up to 60–75 feet) Kentucky Coffeetrees create a wide and gracefully sturdy canopy. Their robust leaves turn beautiful, vibrant colors throughout the changing seasons.
